"Be Merry and Eat Donuts" Isn't that what they say?! If not, they should!
Nothing brings out your inner child quite like a chocolate donut covered in colorful sprinkles. Not all of us have the time to prepare a traditional fried donut though. But don't fret...I've solved your donut problems. Here's a quick and delicious baked chocolate donut recipe that will be ready to be enjoyed in no time flat.
Chocolate Donut:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
pinch of sea salt
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted & cooled
3/4 cup sour cream
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate Glaze:
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa powder
3/4 tbsp. milk
pinch of sea salt

Directions:
Mix the wet ingredients together until smooth and fully combined. Add the dry ingredients and mix until smooth. Pipe into a donut tray filling up each one about 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for approx. 10 minutes. Invert pans onto a cooling rack and let fully cool.
Mix the glaze ingredients together except for the milk. Add the milk 1 tbsp. at a time until you reach desired dunking consistency. Dunk the top of each donut and then dip directly into a bowl of sprinkles. Put back on the cooling rack until set.
Enjoy.
