INGREDIENTS:
Chocolate "Football" Whoopie Pies:
- 1 Box Chocolate Cake Mix
- 1 3.4 oz Box Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix
- 1/2 c Vegetable Oil
- 3/4 c Water
- 3 Eggs
Peanut Butter Frosting:
- 1/2 c Unsalted Butter
- 1 c Creamy Peanut Butter
- 2 c Powdered Sugar
- 1/4 c Heavy Cream
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Pinch of Salt
To Decorate:
- White Chocolate
INSTRUCTIONS:
Chocolate "Football" Whoopie Pies:
- Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Whisk together all ingredients in a large mixing bowl until fully combined.
- Transfer batter into a piping bag and pipe small football shapes onto your baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 9-10 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely then pair up whoopie pie halves for your cookie sandwiches.tar
- Melt white chocolate in the microwave on 30 second intervals until fully melted and smooth.
- Transfer chocolate to a piping bag or squeeze bottle and apply football "laces" to all of your whoopie pie halves (one long curved line with small lines going through the long line perpendicularly).
- Allow chocolate to set.
Peanut Butter Frosting:
- Using a whisk attachment, cream the butter for a couple of minutes until smooth.
- Add peanut butter and beat until lighter in color. About 2 minutes.
- Add in powdered sugar, heavy cream, vanilla and salt. Mix until fully combined and buttercream is nice and fluffy.
- Transfer frosting into a piping bag to pipe on top of the lower halves of your whoopie pies (you can also just spread frosting using a knife).
- Apply sprinkles along the outside edge of your whoopie pies while the frosting is still wet.
- Allow to set and enjoy!
