Easy Heart Chocolate-Dipped Brownies by Monique Polanco
I think I speak for everyone here when I say chocolate is the way to my heart. And there’s no easier way to show just how much your loved one means to you this Valentine Day then with these heart shaped chocolate dipped brownies.
No need to make the brownies from scratch when the box mixes are just as tasty. Mix up the brownie batter according to the instruction on the box and hide the pre-packaged evidence deep in the garbage can. Your secret is safe with me. If you have a mini heart shaped pan, use that. If not, don’t despair, bake in a regular pan and use a heart cookie cutter after it's cooled. I like to keep things easy around here.
Dip, dunk, swirl, or twirl those brownies in the melted chocolate. Make sure to grab Sprinkle Pop “Chocolate Dipped Strawberry” mix and give each heart brownie an added splash of pink, red, white and chocolate. There you have it, heart chocolate dipped brownies that will leave your loved one feeling exactly that: loved.
1 box brownie mix (follow directions for the batter)
1 cup chocolate candy melts or chocolate chips
1-2 tbsp vegetable oil
Follow directions for brownie mix. Fill mini heart shaped pan cavities with brownie batter and bake for 8-10 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
If you don’t have a mini heart pan, pour batter into a 9x13 pan and bake for 20 minutes on 350. After it’s baked, let it cool, then use a small heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out brownie hearts. Refrigerate brownies for 20-30 minutes.
In a microwave save bowl place chocolate and 1 tbsp oil. Microwave for 50-60 seconds. Chocolate will not look melted. Keep stirring until melted and smooth. Add second tbsp of oil if necessary to made smoother.
Dip half of the heart brownie into the chocolate then sprinkle it with the First Crush sprinkles. Place each one on parchment paper to set.
