THESE FUN HALLOWEEN RICE KRISPIE POPS ARE BOTH CUTE AND SIMPLE TO MAKE. PLUS, THEY TASTE AMAZING WITH THE SALTED BROWN BUTTER AND DARK CHOCOLATE! THE KIDS AND FAMILY ARE SURE TO LOVE THEM!
In our house Rice Krispie treats reign supreme. The kids love to make them with me and they are so easy to dress up and decorate for any holiday! These dark and white chocolate dipped Halloween Rice Krispie Pops, complete with Sprinkle Pop’s Monster Mash mix, are quickly becoming one of my favorite Halloween treats I’ve ever made! First off just look at those detailed sprinkles – absolutely gorgeous!
If you haven’t checked out the Sprinkle Pop’s website you totally NEED to. They have the most beautiful bespoke sprinkle mixes that are to die for! Sprinkle Pop also creates custom bespoke sprinkle blends, dyed in house to match any idea a customer may have. If you can dream it, they can create it as a sprinkle mix. One of my favorites of theirs that I want to use to make a mermaid cake for the twins birthday in December, is their Always a Bridesmaid mix.
I’m a die hard Rice Krispie treat fan. If there was a Rice Krispie fan club I would be a card-holding member! So of course the first thing that came to mind for a fun Halloween treat to use these beauties on was chocolate dipped Rice Krispie pops. I’m convinced treats on sticks are always more fun than their stick-free counterparts… amirght?? I just used some I found at target, however I wish I would have ordered these Vintage Halloween Straws because they are SO cute!
Now you can use homemade or store bought Rice Krispies to save time. However I definitely recommend making these Salted Brown Butter Rice Krispie Treats. They are hands down the best I’ve ever tasted, and trust me, I’ve made SO many varieties. I’ve perfected this recipe over the years, however the original inspiration comes from the fabulous Smitten Kitchen. I used salted butter, and changed up the ratios of marshmallows to Rice Krispies for some extra gooeyness. I also add a few cups of marshmallows at the end, stirring just until they were partially melted to create delicious pockets of goo. The result? Pure bliss.
In a nutshell: salty-sweet, nutty brown butter flavored, pockets of ooey gooey marshmallowy rice Krispie treats = my happy place. Dip those babies in some dark chocolate and you’ve got some real magic happening my friends.

HALLOWEEN RICE KRISPIE TREAT POPS
These fun chocolate dipped Halloween Rice Krispie Treat Pops are both cute and simple to make! The kids and family are sure to love them!
- Total Time: 15-30 minutes
- Yield: 9
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Cut Rice Krispies (if homemade) into rectangles. You can leave them with sharp edges or press them a little to round them out, based on preference. Place on the parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
- Insert halloween straws or sticks into one of the sides, making sure to go far enough to hold stable yet not come out the other end.
- Put the dark and white chocolate melting wafers in separate microwave safe bowls.
- Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave for 1 minute, then stir briskly to continue the melting process. Melt for an additional 30 seconds and continue stirring till completely melted. If you need, you can heat for an additional 15-30 seconds, but make sure you are using stirring/friction to melt the chocolate more than the heat of the microwave, otherwise the chocolate may burn on the bottom. Repeat process with the white chocolate.
- Holding the sides of the Rice Krispie treats (not the straw/sticks, because they may fall off), dip the top (opposite side of the stick) into desired color chocolate (white or dark). Use a spoon to scoop the chocolate up the sides to cover about 1/3 or the Rice Krispie Treat. Pull up out of the chocolate and continue to hold upside down for about 30 seconds to let excess chocolate drip off. Place on the parchment paper to harden.
- Once *mostly* hardened (you don’t want it completely hardened or the sprinkles won’t stick), hold over the opposite color chocolate bowl and drizzle chocolate on with a spoon. Example: If you dipped the Rice Krispie treat in dark chocolate, then drizzle it with white chocolate.
- Hold the Rice Krispie pop over a plate and sprinkle with the Halloween Monster MashUp sprinkles. Press larger sprinkles into the chocolate drizzle.
- Return to the parchment paper lined cookie sheet and repeat the process with the remaining Rice Krispie Pops.
- Allow to chocolate to completely harden before serving. Store in an airtight container or ziplock (if they make it that far!). You can also wrap in cellophane treat bags with ribbon to take to friends and family. Enjoy!
*You can use store bought Rice Krispie Treats, however I highly recommend you try these Salted Brown Butter Rice Krispie Treats. They are amazing, especially paired with the dark chocolate!
*The Amazon link for the chocolate wafers is for large bulk bags (30oz). These are great if you are wanting to make these treats for a large group or just to take around to friends. If you are just making these for your family you can find smaller versions (10oz) of the chocolate melts at your local grocery store.
