Tiger Brownies

We came up with a special brownie dessert for our Limited Edition Cool Cats mix! Give us a tag if you try it out!  Rich fudgy brownies swirled with peanut butter cream cheese and topped with chocolate frosting and sprinkles!
Brownies
  • 1 Box Duncan Hines Dark Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix
  • 1/2 Cup Buttermilk (or whole milk, or water)
  • 1/3 Cup Melted Butter (or oil)
  • 1 Egg
Filling
  • 8 oz Cream cheese
  • 2 heaping spoonfuls peanut butter (1/3 C)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • Orange food coloring
Frosting
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 2 cups
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder
Sprinkles


Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of 13x9-inch pan with shortening. In small bowl with electric mixer, beat filling ingredients on medium speed until smooth; set aside.

In large bowl, stir brownie ingredients with spoon until well blended. Spread half of brownie batter in pan. Spoon filling mixture over brownie batter; gently spread to cover. Top with spoonfuls of remaining brownie batter. To marble, pull knife through batter in wide curves; turn pan and repeat.

Bake 26 to 30 minutes or until set. Cool 1 hour or until completely cooled. Refrigerate at least 1 hour or until set.

In a mixing bowl, beat butter until smooth. Add in the powdered sugar, vanilla, cream and cocoa powder. Mix until smooth. Top the brownies with chocolate frosting. Use a large open star tip and pipe a border on the edge. Top with Cool Cat Sprinkle Mix!

Cut into bars. Store in refrigerator.
