Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcakes

Want to make a gorgeous dessert for the Fourth of July that's guaranteed to satisfy everyone's cravings? Try out our delicious cream cheese frosting paired with moist strawberry cupcakes.


  • 1 box of strawberry cake mix + ingredients on box
  • 1 small bottle of buttermilk
  • 16 oz of cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 cup of unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 8 cups of powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 bottle of Pink Patriotic sprinkles (linked below)


  • Incorporate your cupcake ingredients according to box instructions, substituting the water for equal parts of buttermilk and bake according to instructions.
  • While your cupcakes are baking, begin making your cream cheese frosting by adding your cream cheese and butter to your mixer and mixing on medium speed until creamy (2 minutes).
  • Next, add in your vanilla extract and mix again for 1 minute.
  • Begin adding in the powdered sugar about ⅓ cup at a time and slowly mix it in and scrape the side as necessary.
  • Once it's all mixed in, add your frosting to a piping bag and wait for your cupcakes to cool.
  • Once they are cool, pipe each cupcake in circular motions, starting from the edge and going out.
  • Lastly, add on your gorgeous Pink Patriotic sprinkles and enjoy!
