Honey Vanilla Buttercream

This unique but simple frosting recipe is the perfect addition you need to spice up your desserts! The honey flavor would go perfectly on top of some delicious lemon flavored cupcakes or a lavender infused cake, the choice is yours!


  • 1 cup of unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 2 ⅓ cups of powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup of honey
  • ¼ teaspoon of vanilla bean paste


  • In a stand mixer, beat your butter on medium speed until smooth and creamy (about 2 minutes)
  • Add in your vanilla extract and mix again until incorporated.
  • Slowly add in your powdered sugar about ⅓ cup at a time until mixed in well.
  • Once your powdered sugar is mixed in, add in your honey and mix on low until incorporated. 
  • Enjoy your delicious honey vanilla frosting!
